Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Advancement, the Alumni Relations Coordinator will support the overall efforts of alumni engagement and events.

This is a 3 month temporary position.

Position Specific Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for alumni programs and event logistics;
  • Manage event database and registration system;
  • Screen and respond to incoming departmental email, telephone and in person inquiries;
  • Coordinate special internal events for faculty and staff;
  • Assist with drafting and editing content for alumni and event communications;
  • Manage alumni calendar;
  • Process reimbursements and invoices;
  • Update and maintain event websites;
  • Assist with updating alumni web site;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The Law School reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Minimum three years of administrative support experience including supporting events.

Must be organized and detail-oriented with ability to priorities work on multiple events and projects simultaneously. Demonstrated flexibility in working with last minute changes with frequent interruptions and short deadlines. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse audience including inter-department, internal and external clients. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills using tact, diplomacy and collegiality. Ability to work independently, utilizing excellent judgement and strong decision making skills. Excellent customer service skills and active listening skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess a strong work ethic, initiative and patience.

Required Education:

Graduation from high school, GED or equivalent. Combined experience/education may be substituted. Coursework in event planning and office computer software applications highly desirable.
